FAQs
- |
What are the workshops about? Our monthly workshops are on a variety of different topics covering things such as life skills, goal-setting, personal development and training skills around employment. |
- |
What is mentoring? We match you with a suitable person who is experienced in their faith and in their work life. They will meet with you a couple of times a month to offer support with the workshop materials, hold you accountable to your goals, be there to listen and give you advice where appropriate. |
- |
What does volunteering mean? We will ask you to give a day a week to volunteering with Trent Compassion, usually in The Arches. This could be helping in our furniture warehouse, working with donations, or another role more suited to you. You will be part of a bigger team of volunteers. We include this in the programme to help develop good habits, practise being punctual, establish routine as well as giving you experience for your CV. |

Where does this take place? Step Forward Employability is based in the Trent Compassion building on Lenton Lane. |
